User Feedback on the 2026 Blue Glass 6SN7

Hi Sue,

Sorry for the long delay for some feedbacks on the 6SN7 Blue Glass I bought at the end of January 2026.

This new pair is perfect! It is very quiet and measured very strong on my tube tester Hickock 539C. This is the best pair that you have sent over the many years. For historical background the pair from March 2025 has problem of hum from my Atmasphere MA1 MK3.3 monoblocks and I recall in the ‘first” release of the 6SN7 Blue Glass it had issue of fitting into the 6SN7 sockets of my amps too. I am happy to report the 2026 6SN7 Blue Glass is perfect without any sockets issue or any hum.

I do notice the production quality has improved from January 2025 till today. I have no hesitation getting another 2026 version shortly. You have done a great job to help the factory to advance the quality of the 6SN7 Blue Glass tubes.

After 200 hours of play, the latest 6SN7 Blue Glass is a musical champ. I think the latest version is very beautiful and sweet sounding which is what we want in tubes over solid state. It retains all the dimensional 3D imaging and full rich bodied sound. And to borrow the old Capitol Records mantra “Full Dimensional Stereo” it is indeed that.

I have written an analysis of the 6SN7 Blue Glass a few years back and those musical qualities are still the same. A marvelous retention of sound qualities over the years. Now here is minor challenge from the latest Ray Reserve 6SN7 that I observed in my system, it does have a slightly bass extension and oomph. But my favorite is still the Blue Glass as it dances to all kinds of music genera very well.

And the pair you sent to me is perfect in BALANCE between right and left amp, and it’s a rarity!

Thanks,

Morgan Hew
