User Experience on Sophia Electric Classic II 300B Tubes Signature Edition

Hello Sue and Richard,

The tubes arrived this morning. I installed them and gave them five minutes to warm up in my DAC… and then of course I could not resist listening. 

This is the best sound I’ve ever heard, and I don’t say that casually. Simultaneously relaxed and alive. I played one of my favorite classical guitar recordings and I could hear the musician breathing, which I never noticed before. I played about ten tracks so far and every single one of them has been a revelation.

And as you may know, the other tube in my DAC is the Aqua II 274B… an extremely powerful combination! 

On my system, these tubes are clearly superior to the Takatsuki 300 Bs, and I’m so glad I purchased them. Thank you Sue for bringing them to my attention. If this is how good they sound out of the box I can only imagine how they will sound after some burn-in time.
