Q: Do I need to bias the output tubes?
A: No. This is a Cathode bias circuit. The output KT88 tubes are in automatic Self bias mode that no user adjustment is needed to operate this amp. Cathode Bias also has lower distortion as well.
Q: Why only 40 watts per channel?
A: Tubes rarely sound the best when operation at the maximum voltage and maximum current (for max power). Even though two units of KT88 in Push and Pull circuit can produce 75 watts per channel, it does not sound as good as operating at lower wattage for sonic beauty like we did in this amp. We have done a lot of comparison tests before we settled for this arrangement.
Q: What is the electricity power consumption for this stereo amplifier?
A: 250 watts.
Q: I want the mono-block version, what should I do now?
A: You can pay with a deposit for mono-block version, we loan you a stereo unit to bridge the time gap or buy the stereo version, we offer you with an upgrade policy (by paying the retail difference).
